Red, White, and Blue!

Memorial Day is almost here and I thought I would share this card that I CASE'd from the Summer Mini. I just love this set and wheel and thought the card in the mini really was great. I made a few minor changes but for the most part it is the same. This card would also be perfect for 4th of July Invites. If you do not have a Summer Mini and would like to see one give me a call or email me and I will be happy to set you up. The Summer Mini runs until August 31 so there is plenty of time to order from it or host a workshop and make this card there. The supplies used are Crumb Cake Card Stock (formerly Kraft), Real Red Card Stock, Not Quite Navy Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Versamark Ink Pad, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Not Quite Navy Stampin' Write Marker and Night of Navy Classic Stamp Pad. The Stamp Set is July Fourth and the wheel is Red, White and Blue. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a safe and happy Memerial Day Weekend. Tonya

Teachers' Book Bags

Hello! No stamping today, it was just to pretty of a day and we spent the whole day outside. I do have the sunburn to prove it on my legs. So I have a book bag to share that I recently made for one of the wonderful teachers at our school. Each of my kids picked out the fabric for a bag for each of their teachers. I will share the flower bag today that went to our kindergarten teacher. I made the bag a little wider so accommodate papers and books that they might want to take home. The straps are a little longer too. I used the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Die which makes cutting the squares so simple and quick. I made three other bags but I will wait and share those another day. If you would like to learn how to make this bags yourself just give me a call and we can set up a class. I will be back tomorrow to share a stamping project. I haven't had a chance to upload and edit the pictures yet but will this evening. Thanks for stopping by and remember that June 1 is when the Retiring List for Stamp Set and Accessories will be posted. I hope you come back again, Tonya

Kindergarten Graduation Card

Since my youngest graduated from Kindergarten this last week he of course needed a card to help celebrate the milestone and believe me it is a milestone. I wanted to keep the card simple yet fun and bright. I used Crushed Curry, Real Red and Ballet Blue which is a cheerful combo. The stamp set that I used is Starry You and is a favorite of mine for the boy cards that I often have to make. I also used Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon, Large Star and Star Punch and the Large Oval Punch. The card stock colors are Real Red, Ballet Blue, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. There is one Silver Brad added to the center of the stars to add a little accent. The graduate loved his card and is so proud that he graduated. The card really went together rather quickly which is always great when time is short. Remember that if you want to place an order for the retiring colors that it is as easy as placing an order online or sending me an email. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back again. Tonya

Birthday Fun!

Hello all! Sorry for not posting much the last few days. Life has been busy with so much going on in our family. It has been fun and I do have some projects to share but just haven't had time to write up the posts. So today I am sharing with you a Birthday card that I made for my niece recently. She just turned 9 and is quite the kid. She likes thinks bright so I though a tempting turquoise card was in order. I used the new Island Oasis Designer Series Paper that has been Scalloped along the bottom with the Scallop Edge Punch. Then I pulled out my Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and started stamping. Each image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I used So Saffron, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pads and Blender Pens to color in the images. They were layered behind So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red Card Stock. To finish up the card I added the Happy Birthday sentiment to the bottom of the card and layered it behind a Modern Label Punch with a few Silver Brads. I think she liked the card and she even commented that she had the one I made her from last year still. Makes me feel good to have her say that. If you would like to purchase the supplies to make this card please contact me and I will be happy to help you place the order. Have a great day, Tonya

Graduation Card with MDS!

Hello to all! It has been a busy last few days. We had two graduations, a graduation lock in and company visiting, so sorry for no posts lately. Today I want to share with you the graduation card that I made for my wonderful daughter this week. She graduated from the 8th Grade this week. The card I made does not have any stamping on it. I didn't have a graduation set that I wanted to use so I purchased the Go Graduate Plus Stamp Brush Set, printed off the image of the graduates feet and the sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock and then watercolored the graduate image with blender pen and Aquapainter. The card stock used is Ballet Blue, Real Red, Whisper White, and Basic Black. I used the Scallop Edge Punch, and Real Red Gingham Ribbon. You might notice the texture on the top portion of the card and this is made with the Stampin'Up! Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the new Summer Mini. The other little element that I added is the mini diploma that I made just by rolling a small piece of Whisper White Card Stock up and using a Mini Glue Dot to hold it in place. I hope you like today's card and see just how easy it is to use the My Digital Studio Downloads. If you would like a complete list of downloads available please let me know. Oh, I forgot to mention that they are so quick to get because there is no shipping time just purchase the Digital Download that you want, download it to your computer and it is ready to use. Busy day again tomorrow but I will post later in the day. Thanks and have a great day, Tonya

Patriotic Bag

Not much stamping going on this week it was more of a cleaning and laundry week with us trying to get ready for the graduations. I did complete this patriotic bag when I was making my mom's tractor bag. This one is for my sister in law and is a bigger size perfect for summer. This was made with assorted denim jeans in various colors for a fun look and the patriot red, white and blue flag fabric. Would you like your own bag? If so give me a call or email me and I will be happy to make one just for you and if you sign up to be a demonstrator with my stamping team I will make you your own bag for free as a thank you for joining my team. Let me know if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Thanks, Tonya

Red Toile by Kaylee

Hello, this as not been a stamping weekend but rather a cleaning weekend. Yuck! not my favorite activity but sometimes it does have to be done. Today I am sharing a card my Daughter did in the style of the one a shared last week. I really like the Real Red as it really makes me think of the Toile Fabrics that you see in so many design styles. This is also one of the cards that we will be making next week at my Elements of Style Class. If you would like to attend there are two options.
Option 1 You purchase the stamp set from me in either clear or wood mount and the class is only $7. It will include three cards and envelopes and another project (either a scrapbook page or a 3D item), you will also receive a free container of Designer Series Brads (Filigree, Stars, Circles or Flower) when placing your order. If you would like option 1 please contact me soon so your set will arrive by next Wednesday.
Option 2 You pay $20 for the projects and use my stamp set (in clear mount) for this class.
If you are a member of my downline then you can attend this class for free. Email or call me if you are interested in attending.
Well, I am off to do some more sewing, can't share right at the moment but hope to be able to soon. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Tonya

Mother's Day Delight!

Today we once again have a guest blogger. I really should make her a regular poster as she has been busy with lots of fun projects but I will save that for another day. Today I wanted to take a moment to share my Mother's Day card that my wonderful daughter made for me. She really enjoys stamping and paper crafts of all kinds and I hope will someday (3 years and 2 1/2 months) will be a member of my downline. ;) She used Cameo Coral Card Stock, Bashful Blue Card Stock and Whisper White Card Stock. The stamp sets are Flight of the Butterfly and All Holidays and the ink colors are Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral, Bashful Blue and Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pads. She even used a bit of Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon to finish off the card. Nothing to challenging about the layout just a couple of layers but the butterflies really make a nice background. Sort of like your very own DSP. Well, we have a busy weekend and week ahead of us. I have two graduation in our house this week. Eighth Grade and Kindergarten, one is my first and one is my last. :( My babies are growing up to quickly it would seem. I hope you have a great day and stop by again. I did complete a big project last night but I haven't had a chance to take a picture yet, hopefully today. It is a little unusual when it comes to crafting. Stay tuned for that one, Tonya

12x12 Birthday Design

Hello, well the sun is shining so I took pictures of the projects that I have been working on so that I can share them with you. Today's post is the continuation of the 6x6 Scrapbook page that we made for club this week. There are so many options when it comes to scrapbooking but 12x12 is a very common size and one that I use when I find time to scrapbook. To make this page I continued with the color theme of Brocade Blue, Crushed Curry and Real Red. The 12x12 is Brocade Blue and then all color blocks will be for pictures which I will add later. I did a Whisper White Journal Box below the 6x6 page and added a few stars from the July Fourth Stamp Set. It may be hard to see but I used Versamark and randomly added stars to the background for extra interest. The Photo Punch comes in handy for adding a little extra something to the corner of your photos and the Brocade Blue layer is texturized with the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder Square Lattice. The page is now complete. Well, that is it for the day, I am going to try and get a few new projects started. Lots of ideas and so little time. I hope you come back again and leave me a comment and let me know that you were here. Thanks, Tonya

Elements of Style Take ?

I have several projects to share but unfortunately the weather is not cooperating as it has been rainy and yucky which does not make for good picture taking. So I will share with you the second project that we made for club this week. I know that I have been using this set a lot in the last few weeks but it really it my favorite set in the Summer Mini. It takes a little while to watercolor the whole floral image so for club we used Spotlighting to accent just a few of the flowers. To do this you need to stamp you image twice with Basic Gray Classic Ink Pad and then punch out one part of your image with one of the circle or even square punches. We used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. We watercolored the punched out area with the Aquapainter and Old Olive, Cameo Coral and Ruby Red Classic Stamp Pads. We used the 1 3/8" Circle Punch to add a Old Olive Card Stock layer behind the 1 1/4" Circle. The Hummingbird was made using Rock n Roll. We inked up the hummingbird with Cameo Coral Classic Ink Pad and then rolled the edges on the Ruby Red Classic Ink Pad. We cut out the hummingbird then attached it to the card using a small piece of Whisper White Card Stock that was folded it into a Z shape and attached it to the card and hummingbird with a Mini Glue Dot. This makes the hummingbird appear to be in flight and give it movement. The base of the card stock is Cameo Coral and the swirl image was used on the base of the card stock. Ruby Red Card Stock that was layered behind the floral image has the bottom edge punched out with the Eyelet Border Punch. Just a quick reminder both Cameo Coral and Ruby Red are two of the retiring colors that are only available while supplies last.
If you think getting together with a group of fun ladies that love to stamp every month sounds like fun then you should join us when we start our next Stamp Club group. Contact me and you can join us next month to see if Stamp Club is for you. Thanks for stopping by today. Hopefully the weather will clear up soon and I can take pictures of the other projects I am anxious to share. 'Til Next time, Tonya

Builder Wheel Scrapbook Page

This month for club since it is National Scrapbooking month I thought it would be nice to make a scrapbook page. I used some new and some soon to be old. The base of the scrapbook page is 6x6 and is Crushed Curry Card Stock. I then used the new Builder Wheels Birthday and So Many Stars. The two wheels inked with Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad and rolled across the Whisper White Card Stock. If you use two wheels with the spacer in the middle it allows you to add a 5/8" ribbon which is just what I did on this page. I used the soon to be retiring Brocade Blue 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon. I simply knotted it and added it to the page. I added Real Red Card Stock behind the Whisper White Wheeled Image, then I added a mat for a photo in Real Red Card Stock. The birthday candles are from the stamp set July Fourth which is new in the Summer Mini. I stamped it three times once in each of the following colors Crushed Curry, Real Red, and Brocade Blue. The flame was made with the 5 Petal Punch. You punch one out from Crushed Curry Card Stock then put a single petal back into the punch and punch it again making a small oval. I added 2 Way glue and Dazzling Diamonds to give the flame some sparkle. The Brocade Blue Scallop is made with the Pennant Bigz XL Die. It fits perfectly with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch that I used to punch out the Candle images.
I also created a 12x12 page with this page as a feature to show how easy it is to turn a 6x6 page into a 12x12 page. I will share that with you another day. ;) I need to take the picture first. If you would like to learn how to make this page please contact me and we can schedule a time for a workshop or class. Well, that is all for today. Thanks for stopping by and please come back again, Tonya

Elegant So Saffron

Are you tired of this stamp set yet? I just love the look of it and I am working on different options for stamping with it. I really want to stamp it on a tile but I haven't had a chance yet. If you order this set this month you will receive one set of Designer Brads (Flower, Circle, Star and Filigree) FREE! In addition I am offering a class using this stamp set Elements of Style. The card today is my Mom's Mother's Day Card. One of her favorite colors is yellow so I picked So Saffron Card Stock. I stamped the swirl stamp all over the base with the So Saffron Classic Stamp Pad then I sponged the edges with a sponge dauber. The floral image is stamped on Whisper White Card Stock with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad. I watercolored with the Aquapainter, So Saffron Classic Ink, More Mustard Classic Ink, and Old Olive Classic Ink. I sponged the edges a little with So Saffron before matting it on Basic Gray Card Stock. I added 5/8" Satin Basic Gray Ribbon. To finish off the card I added the For You sentiment to the bottom corner. If you would like to order this stamp set you can order it online or by contacting me. Club ladies we will be using this stamp set this week but we will be making a different card. Did I mention I really like this stamp set. My daughter even used it this weekend for some thank you cards she needed to make. I will share those another day. Thank you for stopping by and let me know if you have any questions and I hope you stop by again, Tonya

Tractor Purse for Mom

Well, it is a rainy Monday here in Missouri. I haven't posted in a few days and not because I haven't been making things life has just been busy and projects haven't been quite done. I have several ready to share now and I thought I would start with the John Deer Tractor Purse that I made for my mom as part of her Mother's Day gift. She had asked for one that she could take to work. I had the fabric at the all ready and since I am using jeans that my family (mom, brother, myself) have discarded the purse was pretty easy to make. I really like the blue jean when it is washed as it tends to fray out more than the other fabrics. I used the Big Shot and the Clear Scallop Square Die to cut out all the squares. It will cut through multiple layers at a time. I tend to watch my evening shows and cut squares as I watch. Great time saver. ;) Remember if you sign up with me to be a demonstrator this month I will make you your own Scallop Purse/Bag. Just let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow I will be back with a stamped project. 'Til next time, Tonya

Guest Blogger

Good evening, no time to stamp today. It was a busy day at school with a wonderful Health Fair. There were so many booths for the kids to see and so much information for them to learn. I really enjoyed the day. Then it was off for two baseball games and baseball pictures. So today I am going to share a couple of cards from my favorite guest blogger. My wonderful daughter! She made this two card recently for a friend's birthday and since the friend really likes bright colors she went bright! The first card used the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper and the Priceless Stamp Set. The base is Pixie Pink and then a little Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. The ink colors are Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, and Summer Sun Classic Stamp Pads.

The second card is her friend's actual birthday card and it uses the Friends Rock Stamp Set. This is a popular stamp set at our house with both my teen and preteen. It is great for boys or girls, now of course the boys don't care for the butterflies but the guitar does rock! The card stock colors used were Only Orange, Pixie Pink and Whisper White. The ink colors are Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, and Pixie Pink Classic Stamp Pads. She colored the You Rock! with blender pen and the ink pads. This is an easy way to add color to a project with the supplies you already have. Off for the evening, I hope to get a few minutes to stamp tomorrow so I have something new to share tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my guest blogger's post. Now if I could just get her to write them for me. I don't think that will happen though, I do appreciate that she will let me share her projects with you. Stop by again, Tonya Oh, I about forgot the Summer Sun, Pixie Pink, and Only Orange are all retiring colors so if you would like to purchase them contact me soon.

Pink Toile Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by. I made today's card yesterday and I must admit that I am ready to make more in other color combos. I have saw some beautiful cards made with the Element of Style Stamp Set that were done in a monochromatic color scheme and they reminded me of Toile Fabric so I had to give one a try. I decided to use Pretty in Pink for my color scheme and Whisper White. I stamped the floral image several times on the Whisper White Card Stock with the Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad and adhered it to my Pretty in Pink Card stock base. I added the 5/8" Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon around the left hand side. I next stamped the Life is a matter of moments sentiment on Whisper White Card Stock with Pretty in Pink and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and adhered it to a Pretty in Pink Scallop Oval Punch. The sentiment was added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals and it is ready to send. After making the card I googled Toile and discovered some other fun color combos including a yellow with black that I think would look fantastic with our new Daffodil Delight Card Stock. I will be holding a class were all the projects will use this stamp set if you would like more info you can check out my website. Thanks for stopping by today and as always if you have any questions please let me know I am always happy to help. Come back again, Tonya

Vintage Smooch

The Summer Mini has started and it really really is filled with great new products. When I received my copy of the Summer Mini one of the first sets I just knew I had to have was Elements of Style. This is one of the cards that we made last month for my Hostess Appreciation Night. The base is Crumb Cake Card Stock, AKA Kraft Card Stock. I also used Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Sahara Sand Classic Stamp Pad to add the swirl to the Crumb Cake Card Stock. Then I used the Color Spritzer to add a more vintage look. I used the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Write Marker, Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker, and Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker. I stamped the Floral Image with Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad, then watercolored the image with Rich Razzleberry Classic Stamp Pad, Always Artichoke Classic Stamp Pad, and Pretty in Pink Classic Stamp Pad. The sentiment is also included with the stamp set and is also stamped with the Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad and framed with the Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware. To finish off the card and give it more of a elegant vintage feel, I used the new Very Vanilla Smooch Spritz to give it a very shimmery look. My daughter was so excited that we can now make Very Vanilla Shimmer Paper. Well, actually you can add shimmer to any Card Stock. I think you can see the shimmer a little better in the second picture. Today I will be working on a class using this stamp set. Did you know that if you purchase this stamp set you can pick a few set of brads. You can pick either the Flower Designer Brads, Filigree Designer Brads, Circle Designer Brads or Star Designer Brads. So you can get a wonderful stamp set and some really fun brads. Talk about a win win situation. If you would like to order this stamp set and the supplies to make this card contact me and I will be happy to help. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you come back again, Tonya
